Cradle of Civilization May Be Moving to Algeria

Oldest Art Piece Ever Found 73,000 yrs Old!


Archaeologists in South Africa have discovered the oldest intentionally painted art piece ever found.  It is a shard of a grinding stone that has been been deliberately colored with a red ochre crayon.  The hatched design is a symbol seen in other areas.  Carbon dating dates the find to be 73,000 years old.  It just goes to show you, we have been playing with crayons for a long time!  Read the full article here.  https://www.theguardian.com/science/2018/sep/12/earliest-known-drawing-found-on-rock-in-south-african-cave
